Bornholm Butterfly Park

At the Butterfly Park of Bornholm you can experience a variety of sounds, smells and colours - produced by flowers, plants, birds and especially by more than 1,000 large and bright coloured butterflies that fly around freely.

Lakes, cataracts and big plants provide you an experience of being in-between the nature and you can witness the butterflies' fantastic change from egg to caterpillar and chrysalis - and finally the last change into a richly coloured butterfly.

In the park you also have the possibility to relax at a comfortable café or enjoy your sandwiches in thee surrounded garden after your visit.

Facts:

The Butterfly Park was established in 1997 in a big hothouse on a former gardening ground on the outskirts of Nexø.

In addition, the gardening ground contains a beautiful ornamental garden as well as a more "natural" garden, where Danish butterflies can be discovered. A playground established for children, forms part of the garden.
